The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the CBSE Class 12th Blueprint 2026. As per the new blueprint, the competency-based questions have increased by 10%, resulting in 50% multiple-choice questions in the final exam. Long-answer type questions are reduced from 40% to 30%. Furthermore, the select response type questions (MCQ) will make 20% of the overall exam structure.
The CBSE 12th exam 2026 is scheduled from February 17 to April 10, 2026. It will be conducted for 100 marks, where the theory portion is of 70 marks, and the practical is of 30 marks.
