The high scoring topics for GATE vary for different branches of engineering. The section of General Aptitude carries 15 marks and the total marks is 100. The time allotted for the exam is 180 minutes.

GATE is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science. GATE 2024 is scheduled to be conducted on Feb 3, 4, and 11, 2024. The exam will be conducted in different sessions. The mode of the exam is CBT.

Important Topics in General Aptitude Section of GATE 2024

The General Aptitude section in GATE carries a total of 15 marks. The topics covered in General Aptitude are Data Interpretation, Numerical Ability and Verbal Ability. The questions are based on completion of sentences, quantitative comparing, critical reasoning, graph interpretation, data analysis, and numerical estimation.

There are a total of 10 questions in the General Aptitude section out of which 5 questions carry 2 marks each and 5 questions carry 1 mark each. Having a thorough understanding and knowledge of the formulas will help the candidates score good marks in this section.
