The JEE Main 2026 session 1 paper 2 result link has been made active by the authorities on the official website on Feb 24, 2026. The JEE Main Session 1 Paper 1 result was released on Feb 16, 2026. You can download the JEE Main session 1 results by entering your application number and password at jeemain.nta.nic.in. NTA has also provided an alternative link to download the results from the official website. The JEE Main Session 1 and Session 2 results are released separately by the authorities. The JEE Main session 2 result 2026 will be released in late April 2026. A total of 11 students scored a perfect 100 percentile in the General category, followed by one candidate in Other BC-NCL.
As per NTA's recent JEE Main result notification, 13,04,653 students appeared for the JEE Main session 1 exam, out of which 4,67,816 female and 8,87,476 male candidates have appeared across all categories. Along with the results, the authorities have also released the JEE Main session 1 toppers list in the official website categorised by gender. The NTA Score of 68 candidates who have appeared for the exam has not been declared as they were found indulging in unfair practices or discrepancies in the identity verification.
The best score out of the two sessions is considered for the final All India Rank (AIR). You’ll need your application number along with your date of birth or password to log in and check your result. How Many Students Will Qualify for JEE Advanced?
According to the recent data, approximately 13,00,368 students appeared for the JEE Main exam. Around 16 to 17% qualify for Advanced, i.e. top 250,000 qualifiers in JEE Main 2026 will be eligible for JEE Advanced.
Every year, lakhs of students appear for JEE Main, but only the top 2.5 lakh are allowed to sit for JEE Advanced. Out of these, the number of students who actually qualify is much lower. On average, only about one-fourth of those who write both papers manage to clear the cut-off. For example, in 2025, nearly 1.8 lakh students appeared for JEE Advanced, but only around 54,000 made it through. This has been the general trend over the years—while the number of eligible students remains fixed, the actual qualifiers vary slightly depending on the difficulty of the paper and the cut-off, which makes the exam extremely competitive.
