About JEECUP
JEECUP is an annual state-level exam taken by students who wish to pursue diploma programs in fields like management, engineering, and technology at Uttar Pradesh-based government and private polytechnic institutes. The exam is held in online mode for some specific courses while in offline mode for some other courses.
The duration of the JEECUP exam is 3 hours. The question paper comprises 100 MCQ-based questions. According to the marking scheme, candidates receive 4 marks for every correct attempt, and 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect attempt.
JEECUP 2023 Eligibility Criteria
One of the main prerequisites to apply for JEECUP 2023 is that the candidate must have a domicile in Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, the JEECUP eligibility criteria vary from one course to another. We have discussed the eligibility criteria for JEECUP 2023 in more detail below.
- Nationality: Candidates with Indian nationality are eligible to apply.
- Age Limit: The applicant must be at least 14 years of age as of July 1, 2023. Note that there is no upper age limit set by the authorities.
- Education Qualification:
- Engineering and Technology Diploma: Must have cleared 10th grade with a minimum of 35% marks.
- Agriculture Engineering: At least 35% marks in high school with an agriculture stream are required.
- Home Science, Fashion Design, Textile Design, and Engineering: Should have passed 10th class with an agriculture stream and scored at least 35%.
- Diploma in Pharmacy: Should have cleared 10+2 with physics and chemistry as mandatory subjects with maths/biology subject.
- PG Diploma in Biotechnology: Applicants must hold a B.Sc degree with chemistry/biochemistry and biology as core subjects.
