How to Download TANCET Score Card 2024 Online?

Once released, the TANCET score card 2024 can be easily accessed by students via the official portal. Here are the guidelines that must be followed to download the scorecard.

• Step 1: Candidates should go to the official website: tancet.annauniv.edu
• Step 2: Next, they must look for the TANCET 2024 result link and click on it to download the scorecard.
• Step 3: A new webpage will be visible, wherein candidates must provide their login credentials, that is, their email ID & password. 
• Step 4: Then, the captcha code must be entered, followed by clicking the login button.

How TANCET Score is Calculated?

TANCET score calculation is done on the basis of the TANCET raw score (Marks obtained according to TANCET results) and the normalized scores attained. The final score for TANCET 2024 will be calculated considering both the raw score and the normalized score.

Raw Score

TANCET raw score calculation is done for various disciplines. The raw score for TANCET is calculated by using the formula shown below:

r = Marks Obtained in Part 1 + Marks Obtained in Part 2 + Marks Obtained in Part 3

Part 1: Engineering Mathematics, Part 2: Basic Engineering and Science, Part 3: Other Disciplines.

Normalized Score

The following formula is used for the calculation of the TANCET normalized score:

n = 40 + (10/s) (r–m)

Here 's' means standard deviation, 'm' stands for mean marks (TANCET total score in 3 sections divided by 3), and 'r' = raw marks (TANCET total score obtained in all 3 sections).

Normalization of TANCET Scores

The question paper of TANCET 2024 for  ME/ MTech/ MArch / MPlan courses involved 3 parts: Engineering Mathematics (Part I), Basic Engineering & Sciences (Part II), and Different Disciplines (Part III). In the question paper, Part I and Part II will be common but Part III will be subject-specific. Therefore, the average scores might differ from one discipline to another under the third part. In order to reduce this variation, normalized TANCET scores are calculated by the authorities.

TANCET Counselling 2024

The TANCET counselling process for this year will take place in the last week of April. Only TANCET-qualified candidates included in the rank list will be eligible to register for counselling.
