TNEA Random Number 2025 Tie Breaking Policy
To draw the final rank list, the DoTE synthesise the random number and TNEA tie-breaking policies into their calculations. There are a total of 5 tie-breaking policies, and these are applied only if two or more candidates secure the same rank.
Applying these policies will help resolve the conflict eventually. If the conflict persists, then additional tie-breakers are applied until the final one.
- Tie-Breaker 1: Candidates achieving high marks in Mathematics will get a higher ranking
- Tie-Breaker 2: If the tie situation prevails, candidates achieving high marks in Physics will get a higher ranking
- Tie-Breaker 3: Suppose the tie is still not resolved, candidates achieving high marks in the fourth optional subject will get a higher ranking
- Tie-Breaker 4: Further, candidates older in age will get a higher ranking
- Tie-Breaker 5: Candidates whose TNEA random number is higher will get a higher ranking.
