National Institute of Technology Hamirpur, popularly known as NIT Hamipur, is one of the thirty-one NITs of the country established in 1986. NIT Hamirpur Campus

The NIT Hamirpur campus is located at Anu in the Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh, around 4 km from the main Hamirpur bus stand on the Hamirpur–Tauni Devi road. Hamirpur is well connected by road and lies around 450 km from Delhi and 200 km from Chandigarh. The nearest broad-gauge railway station is Una (about 80 km away), while the closest airports are Dharamshala (Gaggal) at around 75 km and Chandigarh International Airport at nearly 200 km from the campus.
